Venerable Jian Zhen / Jian Zhen Da He Shang (鑑真大和尚) - animated cartoon

I was looking for Buddhist cartoon and movie, and suddenly found this trailer video about the story of Venerable Jian Zhen in animated cartoon. This movie "鑑真大和尚" is a great movie made by Tzu Chi Da Ai TV. It's one of Buddhist 3D animated movies. The story is about the journey of Master Jian Zhen travelling from China to Japan in order to preach Buddha Dharma in Japan. He never subsided to difficulties along the journey and made six attempts to reach Japan. His fifth attempt journey brought him to Hainan, and he also preached Dharma in Hainan.

Emperor Liang's Repentance Service or Liang Huang Bao Chan consists of 9 parts and usually separated into 3 books. Usually this long duration of Buddhist Repentance Ceremony will take up 3 days. Then followed by "Yan Kou" ceremony on the late hours of the third day.


Usually it's hard to find the books on Liang Huang Bao Chan in monastery which are for free distribution which mean you can bring home. This is perhaps the three volumes of Liang Huang Bao Chan text books are just for ceremony use, which means not for home daily recitation like Amitabha Sutra or Ksitigarbha Sutra.
